Support » Plugin: I Make Plugins » parsing short codes

  • I have a couple of short codes mentioned in the installation part of the plugin section on the wordpress.org site, when this part of the text is on my site because I am using my own plugins on my site its replacing the short codes with the output from the plugin, when I would prefer it not to so its showing the installation instructions as it does on the wordpress.org site, I am not sure how this would be made possible.

Did you wrap the code in your readme in code tags? That is the backticks?

Do you mean like this ? http://pastebin.com/E9TkzPJV.

Sorry I had to use pastebin as it wasn’t showing the backticks as I thought it would here.

I think the answer is yes I have, I have kinda ripped a bit of code from the i make plugins plugin and changed my plugin a little bit so that it adds and removes the shortcode and its now not parsing the code in the readme.txt of the plugin that is also installed on my site if I use the one that is the latest in the wordpress respository that one duplicates the sitemap.

I’ve not put the one I have altered on the respository I’m still making a few alterations and tweaks to it.

Thank you very much for the reply I very much appreciate it!
