Widget area page exclusion/inclusion

I’m building a site for my local cricket club which runs a number of teams. I’ve set up a widget area for each of the sides to list pages relevant to them. Because the option is to list pages to exclude as opposed to include I have to go through each widget and update the exclusion list every time I add a page for a side. Seems it would make more sense to have an inclusion list. Am I missing something or is there a better way for me to do this? Thanks in advance.
