WPMultisite Issue On Local Install Mamp

Hello Everyone,
I am running a multisite install on a local development mac using Mamp. After adding additional sites I am un-able to go to the dashboard for each individual site added from within the multisite admin panel. I get a pop up dialog saying: ” This Webpage has a redirect loop” I have disable cookies and cleared the cache. Am not sure if I have to edit the .htaccess file or should I add additional code to it and if so what should I add in able to resolve this issue. It does work fine on my live server environment but not the local install?
