    Hello

When I ge an alert of an IP that tried to connect to my admin (chinese, russian, usa…) I was wondering if you suggest to block this IP to several websites or just the site that the attempt was made ?

Is there a link, or website where we can find IPs that are suggested to block ?

If I see a 100 attemps that have been made since I blocked, is there a place I can share with other users this IP or report it in any way ?

Also is there a way to block several IP at the same time ? like from a list ?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

    Hi,

Yes if you enable the Wordfence Security Network the way it works is that you report any hack attempts to us. Then we aggregate, sort and filter that data and compile a list of IP’s that need to be blocked. Then if you get a hack attempt, your site checks with us (this happens at the same time as when you report the hack attempt to us) and if it’s on the bad list the IP is immediately blocked by your site instead of allowing 3 or 5 or 20 attempts (depending on your settings) before it’s blocked.

So that’s the benefit of being part of the Wordfence Security Network – you are helping build a database of known hacker IPs and you are immediately blocking them when they try to hack you.

    Regards,

    Mark.

    Thanks Mark for your answer,

Where in the plugin do I activate the Wordfence Security Network ? Is it in the Options page ?

Is it also possible to export the list of bad IP and block several IP at the same time ? I mean to share the bad IPs I have blocked between my sites ?

    Thanks

PS: By the way just for curiosity how do you filter ? Is it by the number of connections attempt ?

    Hello again,

If I see a bad IP has try to connect several times to my site, is there a way or a feature so that I could block this IP to all my websites where WordFence is installed ?

Has someone managed to do that or could share their procedure on that ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Cotp
