• Well, I did everything I could. I changed my (Gensis/Dynamic Website Builder) theme to one of the default WP themes, disabled all the plugins by changing the name of the plugin folder and then refresh the plugins page: 0 plugins active. Still I can’t add more menu-items to a menu above four items, and I have only two small menu’s of two and four items, no sub menu. My hosting provider says they can’t do anyhting about the settings of Suhosin, if that is the trouble, but I wonder if this is the cause. I have another site with that same providers which also uses Suhosin. No problems there with larger menu’s.

I’m completely fuzzed and don’t know what else to try… Any idea’s?

Now this is strange. Perhaps someone could guess what is going on:

Everything failed until now. Like I said I deactivated all plugins, changes to the default theme and still the custom menu would not save a simple menu beyond 4 items, even with all kinds of trial additions to the .htaccess file, like max vars and suhosin changes.

    What did work is this:

When I click the button Save Menu, the processing symbol start circling, which takes a very long time from grey (putting request) to orange (getting results back). Orange also stays visible for a very long time.

When I hit the save button and after a second or two/three hit the X button in the browser, stopping the action, the menu is saved and new items are added! When I wait for the complete process to be ended, the menu is not saved and reverts back to a max of 4 items and with the checkbox at Primary Navigation disabled.

    Any ideas on this?
