• my host had to remove my caching plugin, but now some pages are stuck on nocache. Could someone tell me how W3-total-cache may have saved this setting? I’ve removed it but my index page is still serving up with nocache headers.

    message from my host:
I would note that due to the architecture of the Premium WordPress hosting and the fact that we maintain caching for you, caching plugins are not allowed and will be removed by our system. For a full list of plugins that are not allowed on the Premium WordPress service, please refer to the following KnowledgeBase article:

In regards to the ‘nocache’ in the headers for your site, by default browser caching is enabled on Premium WordPress. It is common for caching plugins to alter these configurations, so this setting was likely migrated over, as you had the caching plugin on your site. Unfortunately, as we do not know exactly how the plugin went about changing this setting, we cannot advise on the best way to undo it.
