I don’t think this plugin works any longer.
I have 3 sites running this plugin and have experienced the same issue. It doesn’t tweet and when you click “tweet now” it says the same thing on every site, every single time. And when it’s supposed to post tweets every 4 hours, it does nothing.
Can the developer please respond?
I just noticed this issue as well. That Tweetily wasn’t tweeting out my posts. Went and clicked Tweet now and I get the error
“Tweet 0 : OOPS!!! problem with your URL shortning service. Some signs of error INVALID_APIKEY.
There is no support from the author and they can’t seem to be bothered to respond to everyone’s issues. I’m gonna uninstall and find another plugin.
Hi, I have the same problem. When I click “send tweet now” I get: “Tweet 0 : Oh no! Something went wrong. Please try again.”.
Has somebody found how to solve this?
Tweetily is the best twitter plugin.. shame it has has stopped working.

Hi @nickygee0362 , I haven´t found a solution. At the end I decided to stop using it after I found out the plugin clears the cache (w3 total cache) in every page load causing huge server consumption.

JoseVega, would this impact a site not running W3 Total Cache? If it does impact a site not running W3 plugin, it would explain a few server outages and I’d want to remove the Tweetily plugin, too. What do you think?
Hi @david S. I´m not sure. When I was checking the code I only saw a W3 Total cache function that clears the cache. I think if it calls that function, it might call other functions from other popular caching plugins as well.
The thing is, this kind of tasks consume a lot of resources because it depends on wp cron jobs to post tweets. WordPress has to check on every page load if it´s the right time to post the next tweet and that affects the performance.
In my case, I created a custom script for posting tweets which runs on a different server. I had tweetily installed on 3 wordpress sites and since I moved to my custom script the server consumption has gone to half.
