I’m having the same issue and only finding post from 2010. Can’t believe that this issue hasn’t been fixed yet.
When I use my wp theme search function, no images included in nextgen galleries come up, instead in displays this

I’ve got a massive amount of galleries and have taken the time to include discriptions and alttext and tags. But none of these get displayed when i search the site.
Is there an updated way to resolve this.

@nicolala67 & @lorraine.Evert – The built-in WordPress search functionality has never worked to produce any results referencing the NextGEN Gallery images.
NextGEN Gallery displays are generated dynamically and essentially don’t exist for the search function to find.
