Support » Fixing WordPress » How to put image slider on the homepage?

  • Hi..

I have the image slider (revolution slider) and I want to put it on my home page.

In the folder of Rev. Slider is said how to do that, but I need some technical help.

For show only on homepage use: <?php putRevSlider(“SonoSlider”,”homepage”) ?>

This is written and I don´t know how to use that code and where I need to paste it that my slider will be visible and active on my homepage.

    Need help,
    Thanks!

  • Hi,

If its going into your page you can simply paste the shortcode into the visual editor. The code will look like this: [rev_slider slider1]

Another option depending on your theme would be to go into appearance- widgets and use the revolution slider widget.

I’ve never used the plugin myself so this may or may not help i used this as a reference: http://www.ait-themes.com/doc/how-to-use-revolution-slider/

    All the best

    Hi Jackie !

He will come two problems if I do like you said.
The Revolution Slider I want to post it on my homepage, which does not have widgets. If I want to post the slider on any other page, than your way is the right one.

I wanted to know where should I paste the code ?
Under appearance/editor I know I have to paste the code, but I don´t know exactly on which php site (front-page.php, editor-style.css, index.php or any other .php page).

You said that I should post the code on the visual editor. You meant I should paste it onto the ´editor-style.css´?

    Thanks for your help Jackie!

Sadly going into the appearance/editor is well above my knowledge perhaps try a search for editing code on specific pages in wordpress thats the route i would take.

    All the best

    Adam
