How to add “Shout out / Announcement” box?

    Hi everyone,

    I’m quite new to wordpress. Can anyone show me how do I add a “shout out / announcement” box in my website? I’m currently using WP 2.5. is there anything like a widget or something which I can just install it and use it straight away???
