I just went through my backups and it appears none from at least past week have worked properly.

My backup yesterday had a zip error. I was alerted to this during the backup process, when “Warning: A zip error occurred – check your log for more details.” appeared in the box next to “Backups in Progress.”

So I checked the log and it wasn’t super informative but the site hadn’t been altered since the last backup so I wasn’t very concerned. (I just tried to post my log file to pastebin but it exceeded to 500kb limit…)

Today I have not seen an error message displayed in the “Backups in Process” box. However, just to be sure, I checked the log file and it also contained the following:

Output from zip: zip error: Could not create output file (was replacing the original zip file)
2521.253 (8) Binary zip: error (code: 15 - look it up in the Diagnostics section of the zip manual at http://www.info-zip.org/mans/zip.html for interpretation... and also check that your hosting account quota is not full)

2521.256 (8) [Warning] A zip error occurred - check your log for more details.
2521.257 (8) The attempt to close the zip file returned an error (). List of files we were trying to add follows (check their permissions).

I’ve also gotten this error: “Binary mysqldump: error (code: 2)”

I use GoDaddy with an unlimited hosting account. I have multisite enabled but no sites set up.

    Hi,

2521.253 (8) Binary zip: error (code: 15 – look it up in the Diagnostics section of the zip manual at http://www.info-zip.org/mans/zip.html for interpretation… and also check that your hosting account quota is not full)

Looking at that page, it says:

zip was unable to create a file to write to

You’ll need to ask your web hosting company why that might be.

    Best wishes,
    David
