As an answer to your question: The images in your slideshow aren’t cut off, the full images are visible. However, the shadows applied to your images fall outside the slide. Anything outside the slide is hidden from visibility, this is why it looks like the images are cut off.
Only borders and padding will be shown correctly when applied to an image. You could perhaps resize the slideshow itself and apply the shadow to it, instead of the images.
I’m currently doing my final year in college, which doesn’t leave me with a great amount of time for plugin support. I’m sorry for not always responding to support threads.
Thanks for your quick reply! I remember the pressure of final college year so I appreciate your taking the time to respond.
As to your suggestion, my client desires shadows around the image so I will have to live with the results. I am using WP Image Borders plugin for shadows.
Not sure if I get what you mean about applying shadow to the slideshow – wouldn’t that just shadow the entire container, including the next and previous buttons?
Yes, that would apply a shadow around the entire container. However, this could only look good when all images would be the same width and the slideshow would be smaller and centered.
Thanks! I think I will need to individually edit each image and add a shadow to it.
