• Hey

You have created some very nice video documentation!

What I really like about your plugin are these features:
    – Create your own folders to logically store images where they belong.
    – Easy to create Gallery and turn on/off (publish or not) images. Sorting.
    – Easy to add shortcode with the various layout options.

What I find a bit more difficult is:
Having to create an album outside of the galleries section.
One could perhaps instead just drag the galleries below another gallery. Similar to how subpages are made in the menu area today. Which means one could drag a gallery and drop it below another gallery. The top gallery could then change to become an album. This needs more thought…

In the Gallery section. Options for going back to album. Changing the word back or adding an up icon etc. Or another way.

    Other thoughts….
The text “This section allows you to add/edit gallery. Read More in User Manual really hugs the top black bar, and could be moved perhaps 50 px down.

Gallery and albums are easy to mix how they are used.

    Going to a page/post.
To see thumbnails that go to Galleries will will need to use the Compact Album or Extended Album.

What about a drop down for selecting various size thumbnail dimensions?
It would be easier then typing it in guessing sizes where height and width would fit together.

So the process becomes like this.
Go and create a gallery upload images – create a folder to store the specific gallery images in. Create a few galleries this way.
Go and create an album. Add Albums/Galleries.

So right now I have 4-5 galleries. 3 inside an album named photo. 2 inside an album named paintings.

I go to a page where I plan to add the paintings album.
I have to select either Compact Album or Extended Album.
Make changes to the various options. Take a guess at thumbnail sizes. Try something like 300×250.
    Click for Full width lightbox.
Click Insert to insert the photo icon onto the page I am testing this on.

Ahh I forgot to select Album that is why when previewing the page it did not come up. Click the photo icon and then I selected Malerier in Album. Clicked update. Then insert. Popup box did not go away. Clicked Insert again. Popup still there. I clicked the x top right to close the popup box, and saw three photo icons on the page. Deleted two of them and then tested the page again.

I noticed how the images jumped at me and wondered how I could control this or turn the effect off. Perhaps in the options popup.

Clicked a thumbnail and it opened one of the galleries. It said Back on the top. I wondered how to change the Back text to perhaps some other text or an up icon or something.

Clicked a thumbnail inside the one gallery. It opened to a full screen popup with arrows on the side and some icons below. I wonder if I could instead have the other images as thumbnails at the top above this image.

Clicked on the right arrows until it ended. No more arrow in that direction. Does not loop over again it seems.

Clicked x top right to exit full screen image view. Saw the thumnails inside the gallery again with the Back at the top. Clicked it to go back to the album.

Hmm not sure what to think of this. I really would like to modify effects and the back button, and probably other things as well.

    Btw
Here are multiple galleries created with Jalbum.net. Which I am trying to emulate with your plugin.

    Dear Paal Joachim Romdahl,

Thank you for your suggestions. We will take them into consideration when updating the plugin in future. We have checked the link you gave us and we can say that you can create a gallery like that with our plugin. There are numerous options that can help you to get what you want. As for the back button, we can customize it for you and add the text you want. Please tell us what exactly you want to change and we will try to help you. Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply!

What about adding some tutorials to your site on making some of the changes I mentioned (plus adding a tutorial on something similar to the link I posted)? As it would be great to see different types of albums that can be created. It will show variety in ways in how your plugin is used.

    First tutorial:
    1. Changing the back button text to an image or another word.
