   Hi!

   I'm looking for quiet an easy modification: I want to have a textarea in the adminpanel where I insert a text. This text should be displayed in the sidebar.

   I need no commens, no author link, no single-view. Just a text which can simple be added through the admin panel.

   Can you explain your idea a little more? If you type the text in the admin panel, should it show up in the admin interface or the blog itself?

   Sorry, I wrote my description quiet unprecisely.

   I want to type in a text in the admin panel, which is then shown in the sidebar of the blog. I can say it's like a page, but it has not its own site, comments, etc.
   It only has an area in the sidebar, where the text appears.

   I hope that is more understandable.

   You could probably use/insert a standard Wordpress widget, since it allows text.

   Is it also possible to create a new page and include the text of this page till the more-point?

   It's probably possible, but not very straightforward me thinks (unless a widget has been made) Are you referring to a post or a page?
