• Hi,

    I am using free version of s2Member (if there was a “free 30 day trial for Pro s2 Member” I would get it and likely keep it if I knew it would solve my issue).

    I need to run an Affiliate program, offer discounts, track visits and purchases, be able to set the start and end date and time for a course, and offer discounts on “early bird” ticket registrations. So, I chose Event Brite as it is a free set up and they get paid on the back end, like PayPal.

    PROBLEM: Sales Funnel API Notification issue.

    PARTIES: Here is who all needs to know the Paid or Comp Registration happened and “what level” of enrollment the person came in at: bronze, silver, gold or platinum.

    • My company
    • Paypal
    • s2Member (so this has the level assigned)
    • Mail Chimp (so I have list of members and contact info)
      <;i>Event Brite which breaks out the Affiliate commissions and tracking, etc.
    • QUESTIONS:

      1. What order do I put the sales funnel in? I.e. am I putting an Event “pay now” button on my website, which routes to PayPal, then automatically back to Event Brite – – then somehow trying to figure out how to let s2 Member and Mail Chimp know that a paid registration happened?

      OR
      2. Am I generating the “buy” button in s2Member, then that sends student to PayPal, then back to a custom Thank You page on my website – and then somehow ???? I am letting s2 Member know in my PayPal Auto Return where I type in the url, I put it back to s2 Member, which somehow tells Event Brite that the sale was made and who referred the person, and which level?

      OR
      3. Am I setting up API Classic in PayPal so that I can split out “chain” payment processing -to have PayPal break out the payment to my company, and Affiliate Commission, and Event Brite? (Event Brite presently would invoice me for fees they charge – so apparently they don’t have an API Classic “chain” payment integration with PayPal.

      OR
      4. Am I creating a PayPal button inside PayPal (vs using s2Member ) and pasting that on my website and somehow notifying s2 Member and Event Brite of the registration? (I kind of think this won’t work – unless I set up the API Classic for my company.)

      AND S2 MEMBER PRO QUESTIONS

      1. Is s2 Member Pro also including an Affiliate Program? Looks like it does but it isn’t “clear”. If so, how many levels deep? Could I say have a Regional Director, Regional Manager, and Affiliate?
      (not setting up an MLM but it would be nice to be able to have three levels as I am already getting requests for this. I can’t do it in Event Brite – only Affiliates).

      This would be helpful as ie. I could pay the Regional Sales Director 2% override on everything, Regional Manager 5% override on everything under him/her, and Affiliate 30%.

      2. Will s2 Member Pro split out the commission payments for Affiliates? Not just the bookkeeping, but also the payments out the door automatically somehow with PayPal?

      3. Can S2Member Pro do the following that Event Brite can do:
      A. Set up “early bird” registration at a discount
      B. Have a start and end date and time for the early bird and regular tickets?
      C. Track Affiliate names with their emails
      D. Track Affiliate payouts and dates, and amount
      E. Generate direct links to the buttons which could be put into an email
      F. Track visits vs. purchases
      G. Do split campaigns

      4. If I did get the s2Member Pro – is there a tech support call in phone number to call – and how much support is available to help with integrating this? Is there a fee involved? What is the “turn around” time average for support to respond? Are they open 24/7? Is it based in a native English -speaking nation? (very heavy accents can be hard to understand when dealing with tech issues, I have found)
