This is a brand new installation of WordPress, no themes or plugins have been added. However, problem holds for two other sites that have been running for over a year and two years respectively.

When I open the Sample Page in edit mode, the content is blank. I created a sample two page and i typed something into it. The text does not show unless highlighted. I published and while Sample (the one that was installed with Word Press displays normally when viewed from the site, Sample two displays the page title and all else is blank

    Proactive tries:
    1. uninstalled all browsers, reinstalled – problem persists in Chrome, IE11, Safari, FireFox, Opera
    2. Reinstalled Java (32 and 64 bit versions) from Oracle site.
    3. Ran Three different spyware, virus, malware checkers
    Ran rootkit checking
    removed cookies, etc

    At a loss.

  • Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files and the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

I did try this to no avail. The problem was related to hidden toolbars that attached to all browsers. There were three of them. The only removal software that worked was Spy Hunter. It had to exit Windows to deleted the files before Windows loaded. I also had to uninstall the browsers first then re-install after the cleansing. A major pain and a high productivity cost.

    But thanks for trying.
