downloading new theme

    I have a blog through a website of mine and want to change the template, so downloaded Tarski so I could change the header to my logo. Being a beginner/beginner at all this, I have NO idea how to insert this. With my two other blogs I was able to choose a template and it became active…I even changed the photo on one with ease.

    Is there an issue with the one I’m having problems with because it’s through my network solutions hosted website? With this blog I only get two choices without downloading a new theme and I can’t change the header on either.

    I hope I have explained this clearly enough so someone can help.

    All you have to do is go to Design > Custom Image Header in your wp-admin and upload your new header image there. Doesn’t get much simpler than that.

    Thanks ceejayoz…I had no issues doing just that on my other two blogs, but I think this problem has to do with the fact that the blog in question is 3rd party…the website is hosted by Network Solutions and the Blog opens when you click on the blog navigation bar.

    When I go to Design > Themes all I get are two choices. Then I have to download and install and that’s where the trouble begins. I am SUCH a beginner…got Word Press for Dummies and it still is no help with this issue. Anyone???

    Are you saying you’re unable to upload the theme at all?

    If you know where the WordPress directory is, the Tarski theme should be uploaded into wp-content/themes/tarski. At that point it should show up in the Themes page.

    If you can’t find the wp-content folder, there’s not much we can do to help – you’d need to contact Network Solutions and ask where it is.

    Somewhat related, I have earlier version and unable to automatically upgrade it.

    Error message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311529 bytes) in /home/jcwinnie/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/http.php on line 1331

    This occurs using WP 2.8-beta-2
