Unable to inactive meta box for custom, non public, post types

    I have some non-public custom post types that display the post expirator meta box. I would like to hide it for those post types, but on the settings screen “Default Expiration Values” they are not visible.

    My post types have the following args:
    “public” => false,
    “show_ui” => true,
