• Hey guys,

I want to use individualized e-mail responds after someone submitted the form. This is especially important for the salutation, but will be used also for other purposes. I do NOT want to use an uni-gender salutation such as “Dear Sir or Madame”.

I used the following tag for the form:

[select* menu-921 include_blank “male” “female”]

How can add some text regarding the options above..I am looking for something like..if menu-921 is “male” then “Mr.

I have no clue..

Thanks

• Have you thought about including a dropdown field (in html speak, this is a select field) for the user to select gender if that is all you want or, for more detail, you could create a more detailed selection list with options such as Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr, Reverend, etc. Take a look at this form on one of my websites <http://arklatexmoaa.org/membership/membershipinformation-change> and look at the Pay Grade dropdown.

Yes, I tought about it, but I will do the website in German. In German The word “Dear” in the salvation differs regarding of the gender. The equivalent for “Dear” in German is “Sehr geehrter” for male and “Sehr geehrte” for female (without the last character)

To clarify:

Englisch: Dear Mr. Jack / Dear Ms. Jack (no change in the word “dear”)
German: Sehr geehrtER Herr Jack, Sehr geehrtE Frau Jack.

Thus, I need some work around. Any ideas?
