I like the Subscribe2 plugin but I'm looking for something slightly different. I would instead like to add the ability for my readers to only be sent emails when a blog post includes some word or phrase that they subscribe to (I guess similar to how Google News works when it emails me an article that matches keywords).
I found some other nice Post Notification plugins, but none have this functionality. Does anyone know if one exists? Or would it be relatively simple to tweak a plugin for this?

Sorry to bump.... but anybody know of a plugin that does this?
Maybe it might be an idea to contact the developer of Subscribe2 directly for something a bit more custom?

True, I hadn't thought of that actually. I always assumed the good folks who spend time on their plugins probably get accosted by hundreds of requests, so I don't want to deter them from their mission :)
But I do think this feature is very valuable, and I'm even willing to donate to the creation of a plugin like this to help the community, so I will contact the developer now.

Alternatively, a user called 'Lista155' has posted that he/she is looking to develop a plugin and is asking for ideas.
