NEW Image Re-Sizing Improperly in Slider Since Update

Hi!

I’ve had ONE image in my slider from one Sticky Post featured image since almost a year ago. The slider shows the image at its full height and width, it doesn’t crop it or makes it skinny and it’s been great.
I updated WordPress, the theme and all of the plug-ins.

Now I want to have another featured image from a new sticky post.
I uploaded an image of the exact same size as that old one but it’s not working the same way. It crops it in its height and centers it. I don’t understand it used to work great.
Also if I leave both posts sticky, it shows the new one cropped and then it switches to the other sticky post and that image isn’t cropped it is the right size…. so it doesn’t look good it switches between images and crops the new one and then suddenly the height is at full height for the old image :(. I don’t understand, bother images are EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE and I’m doing the sticky option the same way.

There’s gotta be some code somewhere that needs to be changed and that should work with the updated theme and wordpress?
