I have the same issue and not many people seem to have it. Firefox is ok, while Chrome (I checked in many sessions and users) displays smaller and different font. Very strange.

I’ve checked on Chrome and Firefox and I’m not seeing a difference between a very minor one between how bold is displayed.
If you are getting this problem, it may be with an older version of Chrome or how Chrome is displaying Hebrew text on certain computers.
Try making a page in English and compare it there.

In my case it is English text, and the difference is huge. And it seems to be nothing to do with my site – when I go to https://wordpress.com/, I can also see the same difference in font between Chrome and Firefox (the text that’s different is “Log in” and “Create Website” and “wordpress.com” in the white box.
Any explanation for that?

check your browser’s zoom settings – likely not a WordPress issue.
As I said, font is different in most places – nothing to do with zoom. Zoom changes the size of everything – it will not change yellow Ferrari into yellow Porsche, especially while not changing red Ferrari at all, if you know know what I mean.
