  • Your permalinks are incorrect. An url comes out as this:
    http://www.peteranne.it/wp/http:www.peteranne.it/wp/uncategorized/first-wp-post/

Just go to “settings” “reading” and “permalinks” and try one of the options that are there (other than default) and things should work. If not, perhaps your website settings (“settings” “general”) could be incorrect.

I did that for the posts and they work fine. My problem is for the PAGES…can anyone help??

I think I am having the same issue. It used to be that you could edit the URL for PAGES to be something other than the title given to the page.

For example, I have a title for a page called “A brief history of the Navajo-churro” but I want the URL to be http://landlamb.com/history and not http://landlamb.com/A_brief_history_of_the_Navajo-churro

Any idea how this can be done in WordPress 2.7?

I am having the exact same problem. On one of my sites, I can change the permalink very easily, at the top of each page underneath the title, i can edit the permalink.

On my new site, I cannot do this — there’s no where to edit the link.

    very frustrating.

jamilbroom: You can’t set the page slug if you are using default permalinks.

    HI,

If you had uploaded pages in old permalink structure and now you have changed the it then you need to write a rewrite code your domains .htaccess file.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
