   Since I upgraded to 2.6, I seem to have some problems with post.php, namely:

   - when creating a new post, every auto-save will be saved as separate draft in the respective section; after publishing the posts, I will thus easily have upto 15-20 drafts in my post list,

   - after publishing a post, the automatic attempt to load the post.php results in a blank screen, same after trying to edit older posts,

   - assigning categories to older posts does not work at all.

   Everything else seems to work fine. Am I the only one who is experiencing this?

   Are you using custom fields? I have this problem with 2.5.1, and I prevent it by saving the new post (clicking the save button) before I add any custom fields.

   Negative.

   Btw, the blank screen appears only in Firefox, with IE I get a #500 Internal Server Error.

   And it seems I cannot edit any older posts at all anymore. When making changes and hitting 'save', the white screen (or error #500) appears, and the changes were not applied.

   From reading the forums, it seems like a lot of people are experiencing more or less similar problems since upgrading to 2.6.

   Innocent question, as I don't use WordPress for more than a few months: is that normal after an upgrade, or is 2.6 just a nasty one?

   No intention to stir the pot - just an innocent question.

   It's gotta be permissions on the file itself, but I'm having the same problem trying to edit a post... and havn't figured it out.

   This also started after upgrading to 2.6

   I also got a blank page in firefox after upgrading to 2.6

   It works again. After nothing else seemed to help, I downloaded 2.6 again today, and performed all steps as during a normal version update (including opening the upgrade.php in the end).

   That helped. :)

   My permissions on http://food.sidkhullar.com, on post.php, post-new.php, page.php and page-new.php were -rw-r--r--, on giving execute permissions to all, namely -rwxr-xr-x it seems to be working... at least it's saved 4 times in a row - something otherwise unheard of!
