As your theme is only available via wordpress.com, you will need to wait for one of their support people to deal with your questions. To that end, I’ve have tagged this topic for their attention and, hopefully, someone will be along shortly.
Hi gulliver, could you provide a link to your site? Thanks.
Thanks.
It’s not currently active on any of my sites, but the issue is present on the official demo.
Just to confirm, did you reproduce these issues on a self-hosted version of the theme that you installed on a local site, or did you only spot them the WordPress.com demo site?
It’s on my self-hosted, the WP demo and all the featured users, and other sites which use it.
When a site/page with sub-pages is first loaded, the menu briefly (a second or so) works normally, but then the ‘jog-left’ happens.
UPDATE: Here’s a link to a 20-second .m4v screencast of the jog issue.
I tested a parent page in the Hemingway Rewritten theme at http://hemingwayrewrittendemo.wordpress.com/a-parent-page/ and I was unable to reproduce the problem you’ve described.
I used Firefox 28.0 as well as 29.0.1 and Chrome 34.0.1847.131 on on a Mac in my tests.
What version of Firefox are you running?
Can you try temporarily disabling any Firefox Add-ons you may have installed to see if that makes the problem go away?
Have you tried checking more than one browser? What versions did you try?
Thanks.
Version 28 and 29.
Because the issue isn’t present in the Hemingway theme upon which Rewritten is based (having apparently been recoded by WordPress), I hadn’t thought about the effect of add-ons and was unwilling to disable.
However, having done so, it seems one (YouTube downloader – from Aimersoft) is the cause of this issue.
Strange though, that it doesn’t affect the original theme (which has considerable coding differences).
The ‘good find’ is entirely due to you… thanks.
Hi. AWeber Web Form for email doesn’t work in Siderbar of Hemingway Rewritten…
@p3732g – if you need help, you’ll need to start your own thread – this one is already resolved, quite outdated and not related to your question at all. You can do so here:
https://wordpress.org/support/theme/hemingway#postform
If that’s not the version of the theme you are using, please post here instead:

Please include a link to your site.
