Home Page Content Wont Display in Twenty Thirteen Upgrade

I just updated my twenty thirteen theme to the latest version. Ever since, my home page content won’t display. Each time I click the “home” link in my header, it says “nothing found,” even though the text shows up when I open the page in my WP interface. Also, the home page once displayed in my old Alexandria theme until I made another page it’s parent! Whenever I make the home page independent, it says “nothing found,” even though text appears in the “edit” WP dashboard interface. HELP!
