• I could not make this plugin work. In the end it crashed my website twice – I have no idea why – and I deleted it.

Also I found the dashboard and supporting notes pretty complicated – almost requires an online course just to figure out how to use it. However if you are a WordPress buff, you can probably breeze through this!

  • plugins conflict could be the cause or your problems.
Try deactivate other plugins and run the W3TC with standard configuration. And check your hosting specification for more troubleshooting.
    Hope it will be helpful.
Have been using this plugin for years with various shared hosting and got no serious problems so far. It’s complicated at first, I admit but once you know exactly what you’re doing, it will be very helpful.

    Hi Umeckzki

Thanks for your response. I deactivated three plugins but this did not remedy the situation. The other two plugins are absolutely vital so I just did not want to deactivate these and then go through the whole process of re-settings and configurations, In the end I deactivated and deleted the w3 total cache.

I am wondering whether this has to do with the fact that I am using Woothemes Canvas? I had another plugin which caused a headache until someone pointed out that ‘calling the plugin’ conflicted with a php filename on Canvas theme. They kindly remedied the situation by renaming one of the php files so that it did not conflict with Canvas

Anyway I may come back to this but right now I have quite a few other headaches to deal with 🙂

    Gavin
