   Hi,

   I have had Wordpress installed for more than a half year and I'm beginning to get problems for the last few weeks. I get either network timeout or 'Could not establish database connection' or something like that. I had 2.5.1 installed when it began, this week I installed 2.6 and it has not changed.

   My site is on a shared server with about 505 sites, I also have a forum on the same server and the same thing happens with that site at the same time. When this problem started even the cPanel front page displayed some kind of MySQL error in the side panel. I did take contact with my host and the answer was that I had plugins and custom theme.

   I'm using plugins that I installed long before this problem started.

   When this started I was using a theme installed week before, now I'm using the old theme I had all last winter.

   I'm asking if you have any ideas which could help?

   prob too much traffic on your server. heavy theme?

   The theme takes about 65KB.

   I am having timeout issues as well with versions 2.6.0 and 2.6.2. Mostly I get timeouts while trying to perform admin functions.

   I'm having this problem too. It happens when I update my Wordpress settings. I see that the topic is solved, but what is the solution?
