My theme currently has a static page set as the homepage.

Also, it uses English as the default language, as well as hides the /en/ on the default.

So my 3 languages look like…

    http://site.com/
    http://site.com/es/
    http://site.com/pt/

The problem is when I go to http://site.com/page/2/ it shows a 404.

If I enable the option that says The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id, then it *almost* works, however it doesn’t use my custom page template for page 2, 3, etc (only on page 1).

I love this plugin so much compared to other ones out there… it’s so simple and clean. I really hope I can fix this otherwise Im screwed 🙂

    Hi!

There is something I don’t understand. If you are using a static front page, how could you have page 2, page 3… ?

Because that’s very possible with WP. Many themes do that because it allows you to set a custom template for your homepage. (Usually multiple styles of blogs.. maybe wide photo, or small photo, or no photo.. just many different layouts).

From there it just adds pagination normally.

In that page template however, they do the post loop I guess? I’m not really a WP developer, but I do know many themes Ive used in the past allow you to do this.

I reproduced issues when using <!--nextpage--> in a static front page on a default theme. I will work on this and come back later.

Thanks… if I can pay $$$ to expedite your work on that I’m willing to do it 🙂

You cannot offer money on this forum and in fact that was not the matter. I had to modify several files and make tests. I included modifications in the beta version 1.5. I would be glad to get your feedback if you can test it although not recommended for production site yet.

Whoops sorry.. I didn’t know that rule.

I’ll test it out and let you know 🙂

Hey… it seems to work. I know you said not to put it in production but it’s urgent 🙂

Do you know roughly how long until 1.5 is done?

Thanks so much for your hard work, this plugin is SO much better than the alternatives. And just just made it x100 better 🙂

I am still testing and still correct bugs. Most probably no feature will be added anymore. My plans are to release in a couple of weeks.

I have exactly the same problem. I’m using WP 3.9.1 and Polylang 1.5.3. My home page is set to show my latest posts and I have two languages: english (default), and portuguese. My permalink setting is set to “Post name”.

I don’t have any problem with the pagination in english. For instance:
    http://sitename.com/en/page/2/

But if I try to access:
    http://sitename.com/pt/page/2/

I get an error 404. 🙁 Please advise.
