I've been a dedicated Wordpress user for, oh, a minute and a half, so please forgive the complete ignorance...

There appear to only be three themes available at the moment: Monotone, Tarski and Prologue.

Does wordpress wipe out all previous themes when there's an upgrade? If so, where does one find the older version themes?

    Hello,

There are actually hundreds, if not thousands, of themes. You could just do a Google search for "WordPress themes" or WordPress 2.6 themes.

I'm not sure where you see those three, but those are not the only three that work with 2.6.

    all the best :)

    -k.s.

Where did you look? At themes.wordpress.net?

I just found out that since last week there is an extend/themes, which is in development it seems.

Extend/Themes is a new feature and that's way it only has 3 themes. Also, there are few requirements before you can upload a theme, so theme authors must first fix their themes befroe they upload.

I am working on my Starscape theme, and I will upload it there next week. I am sure more themes will be uploaded soon.

Watch your dashboard for new posts from the Weblog Tools Collection---themes and plugins are blogged there regularly. You can also scroll through the themes archive there: http://weblogtoolscollection.com/archives/category/wordpress-templates-wordpress-skins-wordpress-themes/

Thanks for the feedback everyone! As mentioned, I was only seeing the three themes at: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

There are now a whopping NINE!

The theme viewer is a great find (http://themes.wordpress.net/), and the weblogtoolscollection.com seems to be a good commercial resource (packed with ads, though a lot of them look relevant too!).

    Thanks again everyone :-)
