   I have been using AN hosting for about 3 months and I have had a lot of server problems. Google webmaster tools keeps giving me "high response time" warnings and the rankings I was building I have totally lost. Who is the best? How easy is it to get things switched over?

   I use Dreamhost and I would recommend them.

   dont go with the dreamhost. horrible support.

   I am with them and looking for a new host.

   any ideas where to host a wordpress blog that gets about 400k page views a month?

   I am extremely happy with Pair Networks http://www.pair.com/

   Excellent support, never had a problem with them, they can handle high volume.

   That depends on what you need. Pair, as mentioned above, is great for dedicated servers...I haven't used their shared hosting, but I would imagine that is fine as well. Bluehost is great if you can live with their TOS...read it carefully, especially the parts about bad language. Liquidweb is excellent, but a little more expensive than most.

   Whatever you do, get a linux account and I would personally recommend getting an account with Cpanel...makes management infinitely simpler.

   I am on startlogic.com with unlimited and unlimited and my blog is already over 18 Gifs actually

   there are no such things as unlimited. especially in hosting. I dont believe in such hosts.
