Hey Infoprincess! Rob from Modern Tribe here…I head up our Support team and just wanted to reach out to thank you for taking the time to provide us this feedback. It’s a major disappointment to see a 2-star review and to find out that we failed to impress you.

I’d be really interested in hearing more from you: what were you looking for in the documentation/videos that you weren’t finding? We have a pretty wide range of docs that get quite technical – did you check out http://docs.tri.be/? Most of our videos in the New User Primers, which I suspect are what you checked out, are intended to be quite basic because they’re geared towards users just running the plugin for the first time. If you dig into the Tutorials section of the tri.be site (http://tri.be/the-events-calendar-for-wordpress-tutorials/) there are some more technical tuts with videos. I’d definitely be interested to hear what you would have liked to see – but didn’t – so we can gather the resources needed to put that together.

On the subject of user-friendly plugins, this really is an interesting point. We do our best to make sure the plugin is fairly straightforward and accessible to WordPress newbies and seasoned developers alike – but again here, if you have feedback on ways it could be more meaningful to you, we are definitely listening. Beyond wanting to avoid disappointing other users like yourself in the future, I’d be thrilled to get to a point where our plugin was more impressive to you and earned a higher rating in your eyes.

Thanks again for the honest feedback, and apologies once more for your disappointment. Best of luck finding a calendar solution that is more to your liking.
