Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all other plugins deactivated?
I deactivated all plugins, reactivate just Akismet, and switched to the Twenty Fourteen theme. I’m still seeing the same problem – the Akismet settings page is blank (except for the Akismet label at the top of the page) and when I click on Comments from the admin interface, I see this at the top:
Akismet has detected a problem. Some comments have not yet been checked for spam by Akismet. They have been temporarily held for moderation. Please check your Akismet configuration and contact your web host if problems persist.
Affirmative. I’ve switched to Twenty Fourteen, deactivated all other plugins, except Akismet (I’ve moved other plugins out of the Plugins folder).
12-14, only Akismet and no good. Akismet panel is still blank.
I presume it’s an incompatobility with my server or so, as another wordpress blog I run on the same server, blog which is was updated for ages (WP 3.0.5 and Akismet 2.x) has the same issue.
Oh ya, this is weird!
After all those from above, I’ve moved back the plugins to their folder and reactivated my default theme (Pagelines). And Voila! Akismet is working again all of a sudden!
@exxocet: Try re-uploading a fresh, unpacked, copy of the plugins’s folder to wp-content/plugins using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

@exxocet: We seem to have cross-posted. Glad to hear that you’re back up & running now. 🙂
My apologies. I found this thread via Google and didn’t see the Forum Welcome.
Thanks for your help, esmi!
