Product Archive / Shop Page confusion

    I’m a bit confused about the product archive or base page.

    A while back I had some problems because I deleted the page “shop” as I wasn’t using it.

    I was told it had to be there, however it just shows a list of products so is almost duplicate of another page I created called “store”

    I just found the setting in “Products” for Product Archive / Shop Page, so I presume it is OK to just choose any page as the base page so if I choose the page I created “store” can I then delete “shop”?

    Or should I rename the default page “shop” e.g. to “store” and customise it how I want?

    Hi, Renaming the default page “shop” to “store” and customizing it works for me. The categories or products come after the customization. If there is a problem, ensure the setting at WooCoomerce settings / Products tab / Products Listing section / “Product Archive/Shop page” is set to the page you choose.

    So even though that page shows as empty in the editor, I can just add content and whatever is defined in the WooCoomerce settings / Products tab / Products Listing section / gets added at the bottom.

    Is that right?
