  • Your screenshot does look odd. It looks fine on all my CF7 installs. Could be another plugin altering the CSS used here. Use Firebug or Chrome Dev Tools to understand the CSS used.

    Sorry should have replied to the post when I figured it out. It was right in front of me, even in the image. I just thought if the bottom one was showing so should the top. But the top one has id=shortcode which is also an id used by shortcode-menu, and I’m pretty sure many other plugins, and it has it to display:none. Why can’t plugin dev create their own ids and classes like cf7-shortcode or scm-shortcode. any WHY wordpress STILL loads files that are not needed at all on a page is beyond me
