   Once I upgraded my blog to WP 2.6 internet explorer has been givingme a message that it can't load the site and has to abort. I believe it is still able to open in other browsers though. Also, it is just the main blog. I still have access to all the admin areas.

   Fine for me on Opera/IE/FF.

   Are you sure it happened after the upgrade? The page is overloaded with scripts, flash and other interactive content. IE seems to be unable to digest all this.

   Anyway, try to disable plugins and widgets one-by-one. Maybe one of them is not WP2.6 friendly.

   Are you using PodPress? I deactivated it and IE works again.

   yes it did happen after the upgrade to 2.6 and no i'm not using podpress. i will check the plugins and let you know what happens i guess.
