   Hi folks,
   Im about to do my first Wordpress install (I have some php experience) but should I go with 1.0 or the 1.01 beta?
P.S. Totally dig this font Im typing with, anyone know what it is?

   I installed 1.0 (the platinum release) and then put 1.01 on top. No problems here particularly.

   There should be no need to do 1.0 then 1.0.1 on top... 1.0.1 should work for a clean install just fine.

   btw, why don't you guys have wordpress.com too? i often mistype the domain...

   .com is designated for a commercial business or company. .org is designated for a non-profit organisation. No reason why the devs should splash out money registering an inappropriate extension just because people can't remember that.

   More importantly, the .com is already taken.

   oh... didn't look if it really was free. just thought because no page came up. damned...
   the whole .com for commercial might be true and all, but if .com would have been free, i would have taken it, just to make hostile/dialer/etc registrations impossible.

   I would have grabbed it too if it had been free.
