Err. With the update to 3.0 I seem to have gotten defaulted to a “subscription” with a “billing date”. That’s very unfortunate esp since there was no notification.

Subscription Type Akismet Pro Blogger Monthly
    Status Active
Next Billing Date April 20, 2014

Please provide some clarification on this, especially why I was set to a subscription model that will be billed – and how much would be billed, since that plan does not exist when I click on “change plans”.

    This is pretty unprofessional guys…

What you’re describing doesn’t sound right, we haven’t changed subscription types for anyone.

Either you already had a subscription and were unaware of it, or this is a bug; we’re not changing anyone’s plans or forcing people to pay who weren’t paying before.

Can you email us at support@akismet.com so we can get this sorted out?

I am absolutely sure I did not have a subscription 🙂 I will email you guys.

Thanks for the quick response, that is definitely reassuring!
