I read your forum and i tried to tar gzip file instead of zip file and it works, but if you have a correction i prefer zip, if no i will forget that.

I have improved Zip spped in the beta on https://github.com/inpsyde/backwpup.
    You can est it.

Hi Daniël, I have the same problem. Run 3 websites withe Genesis Corporate them, 2 of them backup nicely, number 3 is now running and says:

[16-apr-2014 17:34:19] Compressing files as TarGz. Please be patient, this may take a moment.

Until now I get 5 warnings everytime, that is takes more than 5 minutes.
So now I put it to 900 seconds. Is that a good choice, I don’t know what is the maximum php execution time?

Ah, I already have warning no. 1:
[16-apr-2014 17:40:34] WARNING: Job restarts due to inactivity for more than 5 minutes.

The normely maximum webserver execution time is 300 sec. that is why i wuld not go over this value. Best choise is the normel php execution time of 30 secounds. Please also look that temp, cach and backup folders are excluded.

Daniel,I’m not sure what you mean by these two comments:

“Please configure the Maximum script execution time in BackWPup > Settings > Tab: Jobs as vlue use the maximum php execution time.”

“The normely maximum webserver execution time is 300 sec. that is why i wuld not go over this value. Best choise is the normel php execution time of 30 secounds. Please also look that temp, cach and backup folders are excluded.”

Right now, the “Maximum script execution time” in my Jobs tab is set for “0,” which apparently means disabled. Should I make that “30”?

I’m getting this warning: “Job restarts due to inactivity for more than 5 minutes.”

The same with me. Now executiontime = 30 seconds. Temp, cach and backup folders are excluded.

Creating of the archive (blue bar) goes up to 56%, the second bar is 6% and reads: “Restart after 5 minutes”.
    Above is a yellow warning:
“WARNING: Job restarts due to inactivity for more than 5 minutes.”

The active log (Display working log) reads:
[21-apr-2014 19:05:19] 1. Trying to create backup archive … [21-apr-2014 19:05:19] Compressing files as TarGz. Please be patient, this may take a moment.
    [21-apr-2014 19:05:40] Restart after 29 seconds.
[21-apr-2014 19:10:49] WARNING: Job restarts due to inactivity for more than 5 minutes.
    [21-apr-2014 19:10:49] 2. Trying to create backup archive …

Every backup-log has 5 warnings. At the bottom of a log I read:
“[16-apr-2014 18:03:22] WARNING: Job finished with warnings in 1750 seconds. Please resolve them for correct execution.”
