Duplicate WordPress site in subfolder

    Hi,

    I have duplicated a WordPress site into a sub folder (duplicate everything – all files and database). The subfolder website seems to be working fine except that any inside page links to the root website (live site). I have installed a plugin (Velvet Blues Update URLs) to update links in the database and this looks like it has worked.

    So what I’m confused about is why the links for internal pages in the subfolder website are linking to the live website?

    In the wp-config file the URL’s here are defined:

    define(‘WP_HOME’,’http://domain.com/dev-site/’);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http://domain.com/dev-site/’);

    Any ideas?

    Looks like it’s sorted now.

    I’m not quite sure how it got sorted, the only thing I remember doing was deactivating the Better WP Security plugin and it worked – reactivating the plugin again didn’t cause it to ‘break’ again either, maybe that was it.
