Suggestion – custom redirects for password actions
-
Hi, Jeff!
First, let me thank you for this amazing plugin, it’s my first and only needed choice when I need to create a system with custom logins.
I’ve been using it in a project that I’m working, and I’m using it in a particular way that needs some customization. I was customizing the process of reseting a password, and looked for a way to customize the url to redirect when the user successfully changes their password. After some digging, I checked the function
template_redirect
insideclass-theme-my-login.php
. In some actions inside theswitch
(likelogout
orregister
), this is possible through filters or setting theredirect_to
field in the template forms. But, for theresetpass
/rp
action, the redirect url is hardcoded:$redirect_to = site_url( 'wp-login.php?resetpass=complete' );
I’d like to suggest to insert a filter here too, this way, when users successfully reset their password, we can control which page they would get.
What do you think? This is possible? Or there is a reason from the redirect url was set without the possibility to change?
Thanks for your attention!
