Support » Plugin: WP Supersized » 3.1.6 issue with WP Media Gallery

  • hi there!

Great and useful plugin but I am not able to make it work properly though I have tried many options and combinations. I am trying to use the WP Media Gallery option for a page with the plugin. So on the homepage page I have selected wp media gallery as the source of image. I have uploaded 4 images to a gallery attached to that post.

However, the page shows some other images (basically all images in the first folder in the uploads/ folder). Even if the default folder in the settings in pointing elsewhere, it still selects these images! Not sure why is it doing that and the only way I can force it to read my images is to upload it to a specific folder and select that as source for that page. Which doesnt really work for our workflow.

Could you pl let me know what I can do to fix this? Thanks very much!

On further testing, something weird is coming up…

By browsing through the media tab in the admin, I noticed that the precise images showing up on the page slideshow are marked as attached to that page in media. Even though they are NOT being used!

So I created a blank new page and then added images to the WP gallery. However these images did NOT show up in the slideshow. I tried to then directly attach it to the page but still it didnt show up in the slideshow. The error: “WP super…cannot find WP media gallery images attached to this page/post.”

Any thoughts on what may be happening?

    Thanks!

Same issue for me. I want to use the WP Media Gallery as the source and include captions but instead, Supersized will only look for the images in the uploads folder. I also verified that my images are attached to the page correctly. I tried this from your FAQ “To let WP Supersized know that it should display the images from the Media Gallery, select WP Gallery in the Supersized meta box (below the editor) in the page/post editor.” I see the tab but there is nothing to “check” or “select” to tell Supersized to pull images from the Media Gallery. It is just a tab with text info only.
