Changes I make to my site from within the dashboard seem not to be sticking. It’s mainly changes made through plugins – i.e. the Yoast SEO page element of a post; or the ‘rename media’ or a plugin update. 10 minutes later it will have happened but it is as if it has cached and needs purging.

I have even tried deactivating W3 Total Cache but although it seems to deactivate, when I then open a post it is still activated (although I can’t access the W3Total Cache dashboard as i ‘don’t have sufficient permissions’. I tried renaming the plugin from my cpanel but that didn’t make any difference either. Also tried logging out and back in. No change.

It feels as if W3 is caching the dashboard, if that makes sense. I did recently activate MaxCDN. The following files were in the custom file section:
    {wp_content_dir}/gallery/*
    {wp_content_dir}/uploads/*
    {wp_content_dir}/themes/*
    {wp_content_dir}/plugins/*
    {wp_content_dir}/uploads/avatars/*
    {plugins_dir}/wordpress-seo/css/xml-sitemap.xsl
    {plugins_dir}/wp-minify/min*
    {plugins_dir}/*.js
    {plugins_dir}/*.css
    {plugins_dir}/*.gif
    {plugins_dir}/*.jpg
    {plugins_dir}/*.png

(Added the extra ones on the advice of Max CDN. Wondering whether wp_content_dir}/plugins/* is the culprit? Or whether there is something in the latest W3TC update that has made this happen.

    Advice urgently sought!
