    Hi,
after updating to the new plugin version 5.0.4 all blog front page links (like links to single posts and post comments) were not working any more and just redirected to the blog main URL. The main menu links still worked fine. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

I went back to the previous plugin version for now, but would like to continue using the plugin, if possible.

    Best, Ellen

I can confirm this. New update rewrites the get_permalink() function in such a way that the correct permalink is not served, just the link to the homepage. PLEASE fix ASAP.

Yep, same problem here. Will be rolling back to 5.0.3.

Yep – get_permalink() is probably returning false and linking to the existing page.

    +1 same here
the_permalink returns null after upgrading to the new version, on WP 3.8.2

I don’t think this has been fixed in 5.0.5, as I can’t seem to get internal redirected links to stick.

For example, a redirect url that is relative to the ROOT directory, like:
    /something/something-else/

gets reset to the default site address, i.e.:
    http://www.domain.com

when you hit ‘update’ on the post/page.

    Any ideas?

Just to clarify. Existing internal redirected links – as mentioned above – get redirected correctly using version 5.0.5. However, the problem is when you edit the post and hit ‘update’ – or if you want to create a new redirect link that is relative to the ROOT directory. In both instances, the URL will get reset to the default site address.
