    After reaching the http://XXXXX/wp-login.php page, and adding a new user and email, no email is sent to the new user.
    Is there something that I need to do as the admin of the site?

    Thanks,
    Meir

  • there is a checkbox at the bottom of the “add new user” screen where it says:
    “Send this password to the new user by email.”
    That fires the mail.

    I meant to the case where a new user tries to add himself via the login/register page. A new user is been asked to submit a username and email. But the email is never sent.
    Not to the case where I can add him myself via my Dashboard.
    So this options seems not working, or I’m missing somthing.

    Thanks,

    Take a look here http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#E-mailed_passwords_are_not_being_received

    or try using a plugin https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/wp-mail-smtp

    There are numerous reasons email may not work. If you have a contact form on your site you may want to test if that is working to help isolate the issue to ‘all email’ or just ‘registration emails’. You might also try contacting your host.

    Hope that helps 🙂

    Try to disable all plugins. Do you use a frontend registration form or the default wp-register.php page?

    I’ve tried to disable the plugins, but it did not helped.
    I dont have a contact form.
    I’ve installed the wp-mail-smtp plugin, but the test email failed.
    I found the following in the test log:

    string(29) “RCPT not accepted from server”
    [“smtp_code”]=>
    string(3) “554”
    [“smtp_msg”]=>
    string(47) “5.7.1 : Relay access denied

    I’ve tried contacting now the host server. Maybe its related to somthing there. I did not created an email account on the host. Do you think its relevant here?

    Or any other idea how to solve my problem?

    Thanks!

    sorry for the late reply.
    Did you get a feedback from your webhost? It looks like an apache / mail config issue to me.

    I did not for any feedback on my last post.

    I’m trying to understand why a new user that tried to create a new user for himself needs to get an email from me?
    Is it mandatory to config my web site and my Hosting sever with an email in order to allow a new user to register to my blog on WordPress?

    Why a new use cannot create his own new user via the WordPress services/site?

    Thanks,
    Meir
