    Membership options page is what s2member kicks users to when they try to access restricted content. I don’t think you can get around this internal logic. As an alternative, you can just create a separate page that’s restricted to members only. It doesn’t have to have any special meaning. Just restrict it as you would any other and link to it for your members.

    As for registering before paying, you can create a free registration form using the s2member shortcode. It’s in your s2member admin area. This’ll allow folks to register as “subscribers” which’ll basically give them access to nothing (unless you allow it). Then those folks can upgrade to a higher account level by making a purchase.

    You can also combine the process by allowing folks to register and pay at once. You can implement both approaches. It doesn’t really matter.
