Straight line on frontend even in most viewed posts

Hello!
I’m puzzle with a frontend graph showing a straight line with 0 visits for last 30 days in every post of a site.
I started using the plugin yesterday on another site, and everything went just perfect. Graphs in the Dashboard at backend, graphs at individual pages at frontend. Really nice!
Today I wanted to install the plugin in another site of mine. I copied all the configurations, manually, from one site to another, autodetected the GA domain, and the counter code is ok for non logged in users, the graphs in the backend are being shown, but the individual pages of the frontend are not showing the graphs.
I tried deactivating ALL the plugins. Nothing fixed.
This site is using almost the same plugins that the other where the graphs are working well. Both them use W3TC plugin, CloudFlare and Amazon CDN.

How can I debug what may be causing the graph to not work? How can I tell if it is able to retrieve data from Google API? maybe it’s a js conflict in the theme, I don’t know. Both sites have almost 40 active plugins and every other feature in both sites are working ok.

By the way, I tried Clearing the Cache with the button in your plugin settings page and nothing improved.

The data is retrieved from GAPI (those zeros).

Have you selected the proper domain in Google Analytics -> General Settings? Also press the Update Options button just to make sure the settings are properly saved.

By manual install you mean the files and database options or just plugin’s files?

By “manual configuration”, I tried to say that I imitated in the WP backend all the settings from the first website in the second one. I should say both sites were configurated likewise.

I selected the proper domain, and yes, I Updated Options.
In fact, I also deleted the cache, and reconfigure the plugin again, to no avail.

The issue then, it’s not from my site? The zeros are retrieved from Google. Google is saying “zero”?

One issue i can think of is a recent update or modifications in your permalinks/urls structure or a new Google Analytics Property/Account with not enough collected data.

Well, that’s not the case. The permalinks are the same since ages, and the graphs are showing zeros for every page, even the most visited ones.

This is the Google Analytics graph for one of those which are showing zeros with your plugin:

The frontend graph with your plugin should show something alike, but it’s showing zeros instead.

I’ll try the other authentication method, and will install the plugin in other sites using different themes and plugins, and let you know if it works, or not. I guess this may be due to any JS/PHP error. The thing is finding the culprit…

If you feel comfortable with PHP editing, you can add this line in front/frontend.php after line 56 ($page_url = str_replace(site_url(), “”, get_permalink());):

error_log($page_url."\n",3,'gadash.log');

After browsing through some articles, look in gadash.log (you should find it in root wordpress folder). Check if links are consistent with those reported by GA.

I tried the patch and the logged permalinks are all ok.
You need me to try something else or can I restore the original frontend.php file?

Any other ideas?
I looked into the Firefox and Chrome consoles to llok for JS errors and nothing bad found.

Can you tell me what is the GAPI page to creat my own API and authenticate by using that and a personal Secret code?

If you use your own API, you will loose the Real-Time stats, because Real Time Reporting API is only available as a developer preview in limited beta.

Maybe is due to some unsupported “thing” regarding the taxonomy structure?

The plugin works in this site with this taxonomy:

Well, I installed the plugin in another website which is equally configured than the one where the plugin dont show graphs om the frontend. Same plugins, almost same config. The only different thing is permalinks!

Evidently, something happens when the WP is installed in a subfolder, rather than if you force the idea of subfolder from the permalinks itself:

This permalink work: /blog/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

This doesnt if WP is installed in a subfolder: /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

Does it make any sense to you?

Probably Google Analytics is not stripping the “/blog/” from your URLs, I think I can handle that from my plugin using $_SERVER[“REQUEST_URI”].

But I see the source code for these pages where the graphs are hidden, there are glitches in the code. In example: for this post, the javascript code has HTML inside, breaking the graph, which is not zero!

Oh, I know how it ended there! I use autotags function from Simple Tags plugin. It is autotagging Google in the javascript and linking it to its tag…
Any way to process the javascript before the content so it is not automatically preprocessed?
