    Hello,
    I have a problem.
I am using a plugin called RSS Multi Importer to import some RSS feeds into my blog as posts, and Wordbooker to publish all the posts to my FB page. My problem is that whenever multiple posts are created at the same time usually only one of them is posted to my FB page by Wordbooker.

Any idea how to fix this?

    Thank you for your time.

What do the Wordbooker diagnostics report? It could be that its submitting them too fast and Facebook is rejecting them.

    Hello,
thank you for your fast response.

One that has failed to be posted says this:
Status Update to Planeta Ovala failed : This status update is identical to the last one you posted. Try posting something different, or delete your previous update.

Another one that has failed to be posted says this:
Looks like we've already got a post going on so we can give up

I don’t think FB is rejecting them, because they’re usually a maximum of 2-3 stories at a time (updated once every hour) for a total of about 20-30 stories / day. When more than one posts are created simultaneously only one is shared on the FB page, the others fail to be posted.

I’ve also tried sending the posts to twitter and then connecting the twitter account to the FB page and have them posted that way and FB doesn’t reject them.

I’ve also tested posting them with the Jetpack plugin and that works too for publishing the posts (without some of them failing to be posted) to FB, however, I prefer the Wordbooker plugin because I like the way it posts the posts on the FB page.

So, I think the issue is from the plugin rather than with FB.

    Anyway,
thank you for your time. I am looking forward to seeing how we can fix this.

I was thinking about this a bit more, and it would probably be ideal if you could introduce a staggering option in the plugin, which would allow users to set a fixed time between posts. You want your posts to be spread out throughout the day anyway in order to achieve maximum visibility rather than have them posted all at once.

    Please take that into consideration.
    Thank you.

This : “Status Update to Planeta Ovala failed : This status update is identical to the last one you posted. Try posting something different, or delete your previous update.” is down to Facebook – the “This status update is identical to the last one you posted. Try posting something different, or delete your previous update” is what is returned from Facebook. I suspect its because you are posting the posts to Facebook as Status updates rather than normal wall posts.

This “Looks like we’ve already got a post going on so we can give up” is caused by Wordbooker thinking that there is already a activity going on for the post in question. This code was added to stop the same post being posted more than once.

A “drip feed” of posts to FB is something that I did consider a while back and it is sort of on the cards for future development (at a very low priority as Wordbooker was never designed to do anything more than act as a feed for scheduled / live posting to FB – the concept of making 3 posts at a time to Facebook was never envisaged especially given that WordPress itself features a perfectly good and reliable post scheduler. API calls per day are limited and swamping FB with posts made through Wordbooker tends to lead to it’s posts being classed as spam and the visibility of its posts are reduced).

But right now with me working on code all day at work I’m not doing a lot of active development of Wordbooker above fixing critical bugs or fixes to work round problems with changes in the FB API
