One post full content with grid excerpts

    I’d like to have one full post — meaning the full content — show on my blog page, and the rest of the grid below showing excerpts.

    I read this this thread about changing the_excerpt in content.php to the_content.

    The problem with that is that it shows the full content for all the subsequent posts in the grid.

    I guess I need some sort of conditional to display the_content if it is the latest post, and the_excerpt if it is not, but I cannot quite see how to do that.

    All suggestions welcome.

    I have the same problem. Most of my post includes an embedded YouTubevideo, a picture and some text. No ”feature image”.

    I’ve tried the same solution as you and beside the problem you describe, all post got two embedded videos.

    Help, anyone?
