• Love the nrelate plug in and it works like a charm, so I recently added it to a business directory website which has three categories of content: pages, blog posts, and listings. The nrelate thumbnails show up on all three of these areas of content, but, I need to exclude it from showing on the business listings.

I’ve read the exclude rules on the settings but these are geared to excluding what thumbnails shows up in the nrelate panel, rather than what contest should display the thumbnails from the nrelate panel.

Our posts and pages are fine to display the nrelate panel, but I don’t want any of the business listings to display it.

These listings are each defined by a single file called single-listing.php. It isn’t ONE category of listing because the categories for these listings are numerous — 1 each for the 50 USA states and several more for international locations, so I’ve got about 75 categories of single-listing.php files.

Would you tutor me in adding the appropriate code to exclude the nrelate panel from showing up on any content created by the single-listing.php file?

    Thank you!

@simedia — Thanks for using nRelate on your site. I’m not sure if you want to stop your “business listings” from appearing as related content recommendations within the plugin’s display, or if you want to stop related content from showing up on your “business listings” pages. Sorry for the confusion.

Where to show — if you want to stop related content from showing up on your “business listings” pages, please refer to your Layout Settings (here is a screenshot). You can also remove related content from appearing on certain posts and pages: http://nrelate.com/theblog/2011/10/19/remove-nrelate-from-a-particular-post-or-page/

What to show — if you want to stop your “business listings” from appearing as recommendations within the plugin’s display, then we’ll have to do this for you manually on our end by blacklisting these pages. However, if you ever reindex your site these business listings pages will come back automatically.
